Sleeping Cozy!

I found Emma sleeping this a few nights ago. She seems to like this position, with one arm hanging out. I just had to get a picture before moving her back to the middle of the bed! She is growing so quickly. Before too long, I will be chasing two around, instead of one!

Cotton Candy

These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago at a church in town. It was a carnival style set up, and a very pleasant day. For all of you health conscious moms looking at this, he did not eat but a couple of bites of the cotton candy before we trashed it! It was mostly just to get cute pictures of him with it!

Pumpkin Mania! Part 2

David took Samuel to visit some church members while he was in his Halloween costume. After about an hour or so, he came back and got Emma and me. We took Samuel to a couple of more places and then came home to light the pumpkin. As you can see, Emma wasn't really in the trick-or-treat mood! I think that we had more fun playing with the pumpkin than anything else!

Pumpkin Mania!

We took Samuel to a pumpkin patch in a town nearby. He enjoyed running around all the pumpkins. We did our best to let him pick out the pumpkin of his choice. He was very excited to take his pumpkin home!

We waited until Halloween to carve our pumpkin because we got it so late. I held Emma and took pictures, while David and Samuel carved it. Samuel pretended that he was making soup with the pumpkin and did not like touching the inside part!

Sibling Love

Sometimes when we put Samuel to bed, we take Emma in there so that she can be a part of his bedtime routine. He is very particular about how his routine is done, but fortunately he likes having Emma be a part of it. David read them their story on this night, so I took the opportunity to snap some photos. These were taken about a month ago.

Much to David's chagrin, I bought matching pajamas for the kids a few months ago. They have both finally grown into them, and so of course we took pictures of the first time they wore them together. Samuel loves to hold Emma, even if she is crying, so we let him!

Beautiful Babies!

Ride 'em Cowboy!

We took Samuel to ride a horse after his birthday. He was a little scared due to the size of the horse, but he seemed to enjoy it. Nana(Melanie) was able to go with us, so we had a special time. Samuel's Papa loved horses, and I think that we all thought about him on this day. I know that he would have been so proud seeing Samuel up there on that horse!

Samuel turned 2!

Samuel's birthday (Oct. 3) was a fun day. No extended family was able to come up and we planned his party for a couple of weeks later, when everyone could come, so we made sure that we made it a special day. First he got his haircut (which I am glad that it is finally growing out some!), and then we got tatoos! After this we took his presents and lunch outside and he went "grocery shopping" for it. We laid his stuff throughout the drive-way and he would push his shopping cart around picking it all up. We had a picnic outside. We ended the day by watching a movie (Finding Nemo, I think)in the living room. However, he got up half way through and went to his room for bed...we were so surprised! On October 12, we baptized Emma and celebrated Samuel's birthday with the whole family. We were blessed to be able to have everyone make it. Papa(Bobby) did the baptism and Pop(Knox)helped. That will always be a special memory for both David and I.

This was on the day that Emma got Baptized.
